The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County announces its 28th Annual Quilt Show from April 11 – 29, 2017. This exhibit showcases both old and new quilt masterpieces from area quilters and always proves to be one of the Museum’s most colorful and artistic displays each year. Hands-on activities offer all visitors the opportunity to step up to the quilt frame and add a few stitches to a community quilt project.
Museum members and individuals who loan quilts for the show are invited to a special sneak peek at the Museum Members and Quilt Lenders ONLY Quilt Preview Party on Friday, April 7 from 4-6pm. Contact us to inquire about becoming a museum member!
For an additional treat, join us on Saturday, April 22 from 10:30am-2pm for an old-fashioned Quilting Bee. Members of the Knot Just Quilters, a local quilting group, will be on site to demonstrate their skills and to chat about their art. Projects for kids who want to try their hand at this art will be provided.
Have a quilt you want to loan for display in the Quilt Show? Quilts will be accepted at the Pennyroyal Area Museum (217 E. 9th Street) from Monday, April 3 – Friday, April 7. Call (270) 887-4270 for more information.
