Midday at the Gallery Program – Taste of Kentucky

Join the Hopkinsville Art Guild as they host “Midday at the Gallery – Taste of Kentucky” on Wednesday, August 14th! Betty Vinson will share about the delicious foods that originated right here in Kentucky! You’ll be saying over and over, “So that is how that came to be!”

The Hopkinsville Art Guild’s “Midday at the Gallery” programs are presented on the second Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon in the Hopkinsville Art Guild Gallery. The program takes place in an atmosphere of fine art created by local artists.

Midday at the Gallery Program – Poetry Reading by Pat Williams Owen

Join the Hopkinsville Art Guild Wednesday, July 10th from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Guild Gallery, 108 E. 6th Street, Hopkinsville, for a poetry reading from Pat Williams Owen’s newly released book of poetry “Orion’s Belt At the End of The Drive”. Owen went from a left-brain career of legal publishing to the right-brain world of poetry.  The shift still sometimes makes her dizzy.   Her work has appeared in several literary magazines and she was a finalist in the Atlantic Review International Poetry Competition.

The public is invited to attend this free program. A light lunch will be provided.

Brown Bag Lunch Series – Music of the 60s by Dan Wilkison

Join the Hopkinsville Art Guild Wednesday, June 12th from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Guild Gallery, 108 E. 6th Street, Hopkinsville, for a walk down memory lane with the Music of the 60’s presented by Hopkinsville Community College Professor Dan Wilkinson.

The public is welcomed to attend this free program. Guests are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy the music.

 

Brown Bag Lunch Series – Expressions of Worship

The Hopkinsville Art Guild’s Brown Bag Lunch programs are presented on the second Wednesday of each month at Noon in the Hopkinsville Art Guild Gallery. Everyone is invited to enjoy their lunch in the Gallery during an hour of discussion and information with a featured guest in an atmosphere of fine art by local artists and artisans.

This month Janice Bowling, Clarksville, TN, will present the program entitled “Expressions of Worship”.

Janice Bowling has been married to Tim for 39 years and is the mother of two and grandmother of four. She spent her professional life teaching in various settings, including public school music and special education, church music, piano lessons, and, most recently, adjunct professor in the music department at Austin Peay State University. She currently teaches children at her church and plays trombone in the Cumberland Winds music organization in Clarksville. Janice’s passion is to further the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through discipleship.

Everyone is invited to enjoy their lunch in the Gallery during an hour of free entertainment with the featured guest in an atmosphere of fine art by local artists and artisans. Special guests will be Melissa Lynch, Oak Grove Community Center Director and Traci Cunningham, Executive Director of Oak Grove Tourism and Valor Hall Conference & Event Center. They will be sharing information about the activities and events happening in the near future in Oak Grove, KY.
