H2Oh Teen Night at Tie Breaker

Join Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation, Thursday, July 25th for H2Oh Teen Night, at Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center, from 7:30-10:00 pm.

This event will be for high school Juniors and Seniors.

Teen Night hours are 7:30-10:00 pm with a $5.00 admission charge for the evening.  Teens must show proof of age with a valid driver’s license, Department of Motor Vehicle ID (available for non-drivers for $4.00), or a school ID.  A parent or guardian can also sign in the student at the park admission gate. Tie Breaker season passes will be honored for admission to Teen Night ONLY if it is in the student’s name.

Music, water and concessions will be the highlights, in addition to Tie Breaker transforming into a teen-only facility.  Adults will not be allowed in the park, however, appropriate supervision will be provided by the Hopkinsville Police Department and regular water park staff.

Red, White & Oooh! 4th of July Fireworks

Sponsored by WKDZ/WHVO, Red, White & Oooh! — the area’s LARGEST fireworks display of the year — is back in 2019! Get plenty of bang for NO bucks (it’s a FREE community event) on July 4th at Ruff Park!
There’ll be food trucks (Holiday Burgers, Vansauwa’s Tacos & Vegan Eats, Kona Ice of Hopkinsville and Heather’s Homemade Icecream) set up at 6:30 pm, and the trucks will remain set up through the show.
Parking available in the Hopkinsville Community College and Christian County High School lots. No parking at Ruff Park, due to the fireworks drop zone. Bring your chairs and blankets to watch the show (including Patriotic music over the sound system) from the Ruff Park rugby field. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:00 pm.

Summer Adventure Camp

Hopkinsville Parks & Recreation’s Summer Adventure Camp gives kids (ages 6-12) a unique opportunity to play, learn, travel and have FUN during this week-long opportunity. Cost is just $100 (and gets cheaper per child), and includes ALL activities and SOME lunches. Trips in 2019 include Hopkinsville Sportsplex, Southern Lanes Hopkinsville, National Corvette Museum, Chuck E. Cheese’s, Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center, WK Cinemas and MUCH MORE!

Jr. Home Run Derby and Hit, Pitch & Run

EVENT RESCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, APRIL 22 AT 6 PM AT TIE BREAKER PARK FUE TO WEATHER.

PLAY BALL….for FREE! Hopkinsville Parks & Recreation and Tie Breaker Park are teaming up to host the Jr. Home Run Derby AND the Pitch, Hit & Run competition on April 20, 2019.

JR. HOME RUN DERBY
Want a chance to advance to the regional Derby, where you could eventually move on to the national Home Run Derby during 2019 MLB All-Star Week in Cleveland?? Then plan to participate in this free sectional event. Boys and girls are eligible, and will be divided into two age divisions (12U and 14U), hitting on respective fence-distances of 170 feet and 200 feet.

PITCH, HIT & RUN
Participants will be scored in three categories: pitching, hitting and running. A winner will be named in all three categories, in addition to an overall champion.
