This class will review the basic drawing elements using graphite, charcoal and pastel pencils as well as other experimental items including watercolor and water soluble graphite pencils on mixed media paper. We will review the use of line, shadow, value, and perspective. Drawing exercises will include drawing from life and learning how to measure for accuracy in proportion. Also covered will be still life composition and drawing from photographs. Students will be encouraged to experiment with various media to achieve the desired effect. Both beginners and advanced students are welcome.
