Health Care Program – Recent Changes in Medicaid

The Hopkinsville-Christian County League of Women Voters invites the public to attend an informative program concerning the recent changes to Medicaid. The program will be held Monday, March 4, 2019, from 6:00 –7:00 pm at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Cotthoff Learning Center, located in the lower level of the Doctor’s Pavilion, 320 West 18th St., Hopkinsville, KY.

The presenter for the evening will be Jason Dunn, a policy analyst with the advocacy group Kentucky Voices for Health, headquartered in Louisville, KY. This program is designed to inform the public about the changes taking place due to the Medicaid Waiver, titled “Kentucky Health” which was implemented by Governor Bevin’s administration.

Hopkinsville-Christian County League of Women Voters is hosting this forum to inform the public about the facility needs for the 2 high schools. There will be time allotted to share written comments and questions provided by the community regarding local high school facilities. Soup’s On! – A Meet the Candidates Luncheon

Take the opportunity to meet your local candidates for office. For $8.00 you will get homemade soup, cornbread, a drink and dessert. This annual fundraiser for the League of Women Voters will connect you with those running for office in your area. The luncheon will be held at First Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall (please use the 14th Street Entrance), Hopkinsville, KY.
