First Day Hike: Monthly Hiking Series

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park will host a guided hike the 1st Saturday of every month! All hikes will meet in the lodge lobby. Hike times and trails will vary per month. Some hikes will require hikers to drive to another location on the neighboring Pennyrile State Forest or nearby Wildlife Management Areas.  Dress for the weather and bring your own water, snacks, and hiking stick. This hike is not recommended for children under the age of 5. Leashed dogs are welcome on the hike. Hiking sticks are available for purchase in the park’s gift shop. The hike is free and will last approximately two hours. Hikes will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or hazardous weather/driving conditions. Benefit for the Bend at Jeffers Bend

Join your friends at Jeffers Bend on June 15th, 6:00-8:00 p.m., for the annual Benefit for the Bend!

Location: Christian County Extension Office, 2850 Pembroke Rd., Hopkinsville.
Dinner: Grilled pork chop, baked potato, salad and variety of desserts.
Music: H Trio Band.
Silent Auction: Over 70 items!
Cost: $25.00 per person or $180.00 per table of eight.

Event Proceeds: Provide more resources for ongoing operations at Jeffers Bend, such as for the gardens (Botanical, Butterfly, Children’s & Community), buildings & grounds maintenance, and various events (Students Field Days, Water Festival, Take Kids Fishing, NatureFest, TorchLight Tales, Christmas at the Bend, Trails, Hiking, etc.)
