First Saturday Hike: Monthly Hiking Series – at Pennyrile Forest

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park will host a guided hike the 1st Saturday of every month! All hikes will meet in the lodge lobby. Hike times and trails will vary per month. Some hikes will require hikers to drive to another location on the neighboring Pennyrile State Forest or nearby Wildlife Management Areas.

Dress for the weather and bring your own water, snacks, and hiking stick. Hiking sticks are available for purchase in the park’s gift shop.

This hike is not recommended for children under the age of 5. Leashed dogs are welcome on the hike. The hike is free and will last approximately two hours. Hikes will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or hazardous weather/driving conditions. National Public Land’s Day – at Pennyrile Forest

Bring your family, friends, students, or co-workers to spend the day outdoors giving back to your community by pulling invasive species, maintaining trails, picking up trash, and more. Your work will help ensure that Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park will continue to be a beautiful place for all to enjoy!

Nature Fest at Jeffers Bend

Join the community for Nature Fest – a family event for health and wellness – held annually at Jeffers Bend! With activities ranging from a walk in the woods with master gardeners, to canoe tours on the lake, to a nature carnival with prizes, to storytelling and more . . . there’s tons of fun to be had by all!

Jeffers Bend is located on Metcalfe Lane, just off the intersection with North Main Street. Admission includes events, activities, and parking.
Admission – $10 per car | Active Duty Military with ID – Free | First Responders with ID – Free | $15 per bus (up to 25 people) | $30 per bus (26+ people)

Hoptown Half Marathon & 5K

Save the date for the Hoptown Half Marathon & 5K! This year’s race will be held on September 19, 2020 and will be a part of The West Kentucky 270 Trifecta Race Series!

Come experience the beauty and charm of west Kentucky scenery and hospitality in Hopkinsville, or Hoptown as we call it! The course winds through downtown Hoptown, residential areas, through beautiful Christian County countryside and returns to finish downtown on the popular and new Greenway/Rail Trail.

Casey’s Concert Series presents Hot Dancin’

What could be better than spending a summer night with great friends, great music and great food! Hot Dancin’ returns to Casey Jones Distillery on Saturday, September 5th!

Get ready to dance with favorite pop, rock, soul & country music. Bring a lawn chair or yard blanket, friends and family, and enjoy the show. Family friendly event. Food Truck on site. Tours and tastings 10:00 am-6:00 pm.
