Food and merchant vendors, live entertainment, rides and a variety of attractions make this event a true gem of the south. The festival runs Friday, August 23, 2019 – Saturday, August 24, 2019, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Hopkinsville’s largest party of the summer and biggest event of the year — will feature Grammy Award winner Joe Diffie as its marquee attraction!
Sponsored by Fortera Credit Union, Pennyrile Electric, Hopkinsville Electric System & EnergyNet and Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority (HWEA), Joe Diffie’s concert on Saturday, August 24th will be a free show in front of the Christian County Justice Center.
Whether singing about untarnished love in the enduring hit “John Deere Green,” the perennial appeal of “Pickup Man” or the heartbreak of dreams unrealized in “Ships That Don’t Come In,” Diffie’s songs have continually painted a portrait of real life with all its joy and angst.
A former Male Vocalist of the Year, Diffie has delivered five Billboard No. 1 singles and has been a member of Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry for 25 years. In the music business for over three decades, Diffie is releasing a new album (“I Got This”) in the spring. The title track and the follow-up single “Quit You” are currently available wherever digital music is sold and streamed.
Opening for Diffie will be up-and-coming country singer and Kentucky native Walker Montgomery. The son of country legend John Michael Montgomery and the nephew of country legend Eddie Montgomery (of Montgomery Gentry), Walker has been working hard to fill the large shoes of his family members.
