You are invited to the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. March and School Challenge! This special event will be held on January 20, 2020 in Hopkinsville.
Event organizers ask that all participating please meet at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hopkinsville-Christian County at 9:30 am (1600 Walnut St., Hopkinsville) and march in unity to a local house of worship for a special MLK day program. This year’s program will be held at 11:00 am at First Street Baptist Church (812 Moayon St., Hopkinsville). Rev. C.E. Timberlake will serve as host pastor, and Rev. Randy Jackson (Bell Flower Baptist Church) will serve as guest speaker.
The school with the most students participating in the march will receive possession of the traveling trophy and a reward.

You are invited to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Celebration Event! This special event will be held on January 19, 2020 at Virginia Street Baptist Church (209 S. Main St., Hopkinsville).
Rev. Dr. M.O. Fort will serve as host pastor, and Rev. Norris E. Mills (Cedar Grove Baptist Church) will serve as guest speaker.
The event theme is “What freedom means to me!” and will feature a music selection as performed by the CCHS & HHS Choir, “I Have A Dream” – a MLK speech by Tyquez Douglas, the keynote speech by HCC President Dr. Alissa Young, and award presentations for the art, poem & essay contest.
