The Grinch will read a story at 1:00 pm and will be available for pictures afterwards. Crafts will follow. The first 70 people to arrive in Whoville will be able to get a coloring book signed by The Grinch for $5. Proceeds benefit Imagination Library.

Join in the fun at this year’s Christmas at the Bend! The event will take place at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center in Hopkinsville on Saturday, December 7th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. You can enjoy refreshments such as homemade cookies, apples and apple slices, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider! Make Christmas cards for nursing home residents, create fun craft projects, learn about wintertime bird-feeding and fire safety, and have your photo* taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

At 12:45 pm, there will be a drawing for a new bicycle (valued at $150). Also during the event, H & R Agri-Power and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, will make a special presentation to event organizers.

The Living Nativity Scene is an annual tradition of Christmastime in Hopkinsville. The scene will be on display at First Christian Church on Sunday, December 16th at 6:00 p.m. at 2601 S. Walnut St. in Hopkinsville.
Hillcrest Baptist Church presents Zoe: A Christmas Musical you’ll never forget! The performances will be held on Friday December 14th at 7:00 p.m., Saturday December 15th at 6:00 p.m., and Sunday December 16th at 3:00 p.m. at 920 Skyline Dr. in Hopkinsville. See you there!
Grand Marshal – Hopkinsville Christmas Parade
The Hopkinsville Electric System and Energy Net will once again be the title sponsor of the 2018 Hopkinsville Christmas Parade on December 8th, 2018. The theme of this year’s parade will be “Songs of Christmas.”
Hopkinsville’s own country singer/songwriter Brice Long will be the Grand Marshal for this year’s parade. The parade starts at Christian County Middle School at 5:15 pm and winds south on Main Street through downtown Hopkinsville.
“The HES Christmas Parade is quickly becoming a holiday tradition in Hopkinsville. We appreciate support from the HES team and all who put units in the parade to make this a night time visual treat.,” added Parks and Recreation Department Superintendent Tab Brockman.

Imagination Library is hosting Read around the Christmas Tree! At 1:00 PM, the Grinch will read a story, and after Story Time, the kids will be able to go upstairs to decorate cookies.
Parents will have a chance to take pictures of their children with the Grinch.
