They are excited to bring you a balanced competition for individuals that will include true tests of mental grit, physical endurance, and pure strength. All divisions will compete on both Saturday and Sunday, August 29th & 30th (approximately 7:30 am-6:00 pm both days) at the Hopkinsville Sportsplex.
Available slots: 30 Scaled Female, 30 Scaled Male, 20 Rx Female, 20 Rx Male, 16 Masters Female, 16 Masters Male, 16 Elite Female, and 16 Elite Male. Cash & physical prizes will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place in each respective division.

What gives you hope and inspiration during this historical time? The City of Hopkinsville and Pennyroyal Arts Council are pleased to announce Hope for Hoptown: Art to Unite & Inspire, an online art competition that is now accepting submissions. Amateur and professional artists aged 18 and older living in the greater Hopkinsville – Christian County area are encouraged to participate in this free online competition. Artists of all kinds are being asked to create work based around what gives them hope and inspiration during this historical time. Entries will be judged within three categories: written word, visual art and original music. A local panel of judges will be assigned to each category with local gift cards being awarded to the top three works in each category. A #hopeforhoptown fan-favorite will also be selected based on community voting available through the pennyroyartsarts.org website. Detailed eligibility and submission guidelines can be found online at pennyroyalarts.org under the Events tab. Competition entries may be submitted through May 31, 2020 and the winners will be announced online the week of June 15, 2020.

The Quad Annual VAPR Showcase will offer another full day of club volleyball action at Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville on Saturday, February 29. Come watch teams from around the region do battle in multiple age divisions from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Admission is just $5 and the Game Day Cafe will be open for business!
The 2nd Annual VAPR Frosty Classic is returning to the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, and features FIVE different age divisions! Come enjoy some of the best club volleyball in western Kentucky, as local teams (VAPR and Heights) join EAA (Paducah), Sky Aces (Bowling Green), OVC (Owensboro) and New South (Clarksville, TN) for a full day of action, beginning at 8am. Admission is just $5. The Game Day Cafe will be open for concessions.
The Sportsplex is turning ONE! To celebrate this exciting milestone, they’re hosting a friendly turf kickball game (Battle of the Brigades) between Fort Campbell Fire and Emergency Services and Hopkinsville Fire/EMS at 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 — the one-year anniversary of the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville‘s ribbon cutting!
Admission is just $1, with ALL proceeds going to the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center. Cake and cookies will be provided, and the Game Day Cafe will be open for business.

Come on out to the Sportsplex for the QB and WR Academy! This event will have 8 dynamic sessions that will make you a better player for 2020. It will focus on speed, agility, ball drills, routes, QBs drops, accuracy, footwork, etc.

Volleyball Academy of the Pennyrile Region (VAPR) will hold its 2019-20 tryouts on Saturday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville. VAPR charges a tryout fee of $25 due at sign-in. A tryout T-shirt will be provided. All players MUST be registered at www.pioneervb.org, and have a copy of the medical waiver as well.
Tryouts will last approximately two hours each day. You must come to at least one date, but both are encouraged. The tryout fee covers both Saturdays. Remember, please no outside food or drinks except water bottles for players. Exact times TBA.
• 15U-17U will start registration at 8:00 am
• 12U-14U will start registration 12:00 pm

Not only will you play competitive games against the best of the Midwest, but the Prep Ball Stars staff will also track key measurements like vertical, wing span, height and weight. Plus, we will do NBA Combine level drills and have skills training from top trainers.
