The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Hopkinsville Fire Department present Tuesdays at the Town Clock. This monthly story hour will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:30am at the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum. Local firefighters will read a story and introduce kids to some of the equipment in the museum. This program is free and open to the public.
The Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum is located at 310 East 9th Street under the red and white town clock. Featured items include HFD fire trucks, a Mogul wagon, firefighting equipment, a Model T touring car, antique gas pumps, local fire run records, and more! The Museum is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am until 4pm and Saturdays from 10am until 2pm. The Museum will be closed on Sundays and Mondays. General admission fees are $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for kids; however, no admission fee will be charged during Tuesdays at the Town Clock.
