Auntie Anne’s Pretzels at the Sportsplex

This is going to put your mind in a pretzel: The Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Truck Elizabethtown KY is coming to HOPTOWN! Come grab your favorite AA’s treat (or pick up a DIY kit to take home) from 11am-6pm on Wednesday, May 13 at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville parking lot. To recognize our local graduates, ALL local high school seniors can pick up a FREE regular pretzel (one per person) from 10-11am before the truck is open to the public. Must have a valid school ID. You will not be able to pick one up for a friend. Must be present to take advantage of this offer. The Auntie Anne’s Truck will be set up while following social distance regulations, so please be prepared to wait accordingly.

33rd Annual Pennyrile Senior Games

Hosted by Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation, the 33rd Annual Pennyrile Senior Games provide a competitive, athletic, recreational and creative experience for regional participants, ages 50 and up. The Games will be held September 16-18, and are being moved this year to Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville.

The competition is open to any Senior (must be 50 years old by September 17, 2019) from these nine Kentucky counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd and Trigg. To register, call 270-887-4290 or stop by the Recreation Center at 2600 Thomas Street in Hopkinsville.

The 32nd Annual Pennyrile Senior Games

The Division of Parks & Recreation invites you to join us for lots of fun times at the 32nd Annual Pennyrile Senior Games on Monday – Wednesday, September 17th – 19th, 2018.  Competition is open to any Senior in the nine County Pennyrile area, (Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd & Trigg).  Participant must be 50 years or older by September 17 in order to participate.  Field Events include Pickleball, 4 Hole Disc Golf, One Mile Walk, Corn Toss, Soccer Kick, Disc Throw, Softball Throw, Washer Toss, Bingo, Shuffleboard, Croquet, Ring Toss & Lawn Bowling for only $5.00.  Bowling and all Field Events for only $10.00.  Monday events held at different locations, and participants are informed.  Tuesday events held at Parks & Recreation on Thomas Street starting at 7 a.m. with registration to check in and get your t-shirt, free health screenings, free snacks and lunch provided for participants.  Wednesday events held at DeBow Recreation Complex at North Drive with dinner provided at Parks and Recreation Thomas Street Center for participants.
