The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County invites you to our second children’s program of the summer. On June 19, 2019 at 1 pm, join us for a program about a local notable with a delicious treat of homemade ice cream. Our local notable for this program is Benjamin Bradshaw who was born and raised in Christian County. He grew up to be a physicist who assisted with constructing the Atomic Bomb in the infamous Manhattan Project. Bradshaw was a unique individual often seen riding a bike wearing a suit complete with a bow tie. On June 19, at the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum, we will dive deeper into his life and discover how his small town beginnings led to assisting with one of the most impactful scientific experiments of all time.
All of our summer programs are free, but we do ask that you register in advance at http://www.museumsofhopkinsville.org/summerfun/ or by calling 270-887-4270.
