Jeffer’s Bend Environmental Center & Botanical Gardens

Visit this 40 acre grassland for an educational environment & gardens experience.  Fish or boat in the 1 acre lake or enjoy the 2.7 miles of walking trails. Be sure to check out the gorgeous new botanical garden, tended by the local Master Gardeners, which includes an incredible butterfly garden.

Experience the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County

Fun for all ages, the Pennyroyal Area Museum has just undergone a full-facility renovation to become more interactive and educational than ever before.  At the Pennyroyal Area Museum, you can explore agriculture of the region, learn about local notables, regional African-American history and Hopkinsville’s most famous resident, Edgar Cayce. Survive a close encounter with “The Kelly Green Men,” See the miniature circus which may have inspired Robert Penn Warren’s Circus in the Attic, listen to music by Hopkinsville musicians and visit the Woody Winfree Transportation Museum to see classic cars and antique fire trucks. 

Throw a Strike at Southern Lanes

Cosmic bowling, anyone?
