Opening Day – at The Mixer

The newest addition to Downtown Hopkinsville, The Mixer, will open its doors Dec. 4, in time for the holiday season. The restaurant, bakery and bar owned by Graham and Heather Dawson is located at 112 E. Sixth St. in the former Young Hardware building.

The restaurant will have an 84-person capacity, with room on the mezzanine level for private events. The private event space can host up to 40 people for sit-down table service. To book a private event, call 270-348-5042. Holiday private event availability is limited, but dates are available.

The restaurant will be open Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Every morning, the restaurant will sell sweet and savory pastries, including Scottish donuts, Scottish scones (both sweet and savory), tomato pie tartlets, quiches, muffins, cinnamon rolls and more. Pre-order pastries, quiches, etc. are available for lunch catering. Lunch sandwiches, made with homemade bread, will be served Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 5 p.m., the dinner menu and full cocktail bar will be available.

The Mixer’s Soft Opening

Join The Mixer for their soft opening on Friday, November 29th! The soft opening the day after Thanksgiving will give their Kickstarter contributors a taste of The Mixer experience, and the Saturday event will be reserved for friends and family.

Crafting After Hours: Bags & Tags – at Hopkinsville Art Guild

Join the Hopkinsville Art Guild at their very first Crafting After Hours class on October 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm! Pre-registration is required.

Betty will lead this watercolor class on painting a beautiful poinsettia bag and tag. And you’ll go home with a pattern so you can make even more!

Crafting After Hours: Alcohol Ink Craft Class – at Hopkinsville Art Guild

Join the Hopkinsville Art Guild at their very first Crafting After Hours class on October 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm! Pre-registration is required.

Michell, the instructor, will lead you through the process of creating beautiful art using alcohol ink. You will learn many different techniques and tools that work best.
