4th Annual Fire Safety Day

Please save the date to come out and join the Pembroke Fire Department for their 4th annual Family Fire Safety Event on October 19th.

This is a family friendly event with live demonstrations (Vehicle Extrication, Power line safety demo, & much more), food, games and much more. There will be face painting, the Fire Safety trailer for kids to walk through, which simulates a house filled with smoke, bounce house for the kids to enjoy, extinguisher training for everyone to practice putting out a fire, a chance for kids to operate a fire hose, equipment display, fire safety information, and door prizes.

This event is focusing on fire prevention week and household safety. Other agencies participating will be Oak Grove Fire Department, American Red Cross, Pembroke Fire Department Auxiliary, Fairview Fire Department, Christian County Sheriffs Department, Air Evac, and more to come.

Coal Creek Orchard Apple Festival

You’re invited to Coal Creek Orchard for their Apple Festival on Saturday, October 5th at 10:00 am!

There will be apple bobbing, face painting, hair spraying, bounce house, laser invaders, beauty pageant, and a pie baking contest! (You must pre-register for the pageant and pie baking contest.) And don’t forget the BBQ, many delicious baked goods, cider, and apple cider slushies!!!

11th Annual Butterfly Festival

You and your family are invited to the 11th Annual Oak Grove Tourism Butterfly Festival! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 28th, on the grounds of Valor Hall Conference & Event Center in Oak Grove, KY.

Come and interact with live butterflies in their habitat in the Butterfly House, or let the Master Gardeners take you on a tour of the beautiful Butterfly Garden. Children will be able to create environmental arts and crafts projects for free.

Watch a family friendly stage show, take a ride on the train, or get your face painted. Have your portrait drawn by a caricature artist, take a spin on the human gyroscope ride, or take pictures like Hollywood stars at the Golden Globe-styled step & repeat banner.

There is something for everyone to See, Do, and LEARN! Head out to 101 Walter Garrett Lane and join in all the free family fun at the 11th annual Oak Grove Tourism Butterfly Festival!

Concert in the Park

You’re invited to come out to a Concert in the Park, featuring Jon Tyler White, on Saturday, November 10th from 11 am-1 pm! The concert will take place in Virginia Park, located at the corner of E. 9th Street and S. Campbell Street in Hopkinsville. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the free concert, face painting for kids, games, and more!

The cost of the concert is free, but please bring one of the following items to donate as your admission to the event:
jar of peanut butter | box of pasta noodles | pack of paper towels | box of toothpaste | can of tuna | washing detergent | canned goods | winter gloves | toboggan | shower gel | winter scarf | winter coat | toothbrush | monetary donation

All donations will go to Micah Mission Center, which helps to feed and clothe those in need in our community.

Annual Butterfly Festival

Join your friends for Oak Grove Tourism’s Annual Butterfly Festival! Activities include a science show, arts and crafts, face painting, train rides, caricature drawings, balloon artists, and so much more!

All the fun happens at the Oak Grove War Memorial Walking Trail from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – and be sure to see the Live Release of 1,400 Butterflies at 4:00 inside the Viceroy Gate!
