2nd Annual Skatin’ on the Square

On December 12th – 15th, Hopkinsville will be transformed into Hopkins-chill, offering an array of family-friendly holiday activities downtown, including the 2nd Annual Skatin’ on the Square event.

The 2,500-square foot rink, which measures approximately 60 feet long, will be positioned within the Founders Square parking lot and accommodate 80 skaters during a single session.

Times for Skatin’ on the Square will be announced at a later date.

18th Annual Turkey Trot 5K

The free 18th Annual Turkey Trot 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk returns at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving (November 28) in downtown Hopkinsville.

The non-competitive, non-timed event begins and ends in downtown Hopkinsville, via a route that includes a large section of the community’s popular Greenway Rail Trail.  The Turkey Trot is presented by Hopkinsville’s Division of Parks and Recreation, along with many additional sponsors.

Veterans Honor Parade

The Christian County Military Affairs Committee, the Division of Parks and Recreation, City of Hopkinsville and Christian County Fiscal Court will be holding a Veterans Honor Parade on Saturday, November 9th at 10:00 am in downtown Hopkinsville.

Every participating Veteran will receive a hand-held American Flag to carry and take home.

Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center changes to Weekend Hours

For the remainder of the 2019 Season, Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center is changing to weekend hours to accommodate local schools being back in session in Hopkinsville. Be sure you keep splashing on Saturdays and Sundays!

The final day of the summer (for humans) is Labor Day on Monday, September 2nd. Then the waterpark will host its 3rd Annual Doggie Dip to close out the park on September 7th!
