History On Tap: Preservation Month

May 25, 2023 @ 6:30 am - 7:30 am CDT

May is National Preservation Month where we celebrate historic places, heritage tourism, and the economic benefits of historic preservation. Join Grace Abernethy, local conservationist, Holly Boggess, assistant director of Community Development Services and Downtown Renaissance director, and Jeri Richardson, local homeowner and preservation advocate, for a discussion about what historic preservation is, what it is not, and how it can make our community a more sustainable and beautiful place to live. Museum Director Alissa Keller will moderate the discussion and share a few examples of successful local preservation projects, buildings that offer great preservation opportunities, and ways the community can support preservation efforts.

History on Tap is a free series that seeks to share local history in a relaxed, fun setting. Programs are typically held on the last Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at Hopkinsville Brewing Company.
