Holidaze Community Festival

You are invited to attend the Holidaze Community Festival from 4 to 7pm on Monday, December 5, 2022, at The Bruce. This open house/fair style event is FREE, open to the public and is especially geared toward our local K-6 families. Children and adults of all ages are invited to attend! There will be something for everyone to enjoy!

Book Reading and Coloring Contest

Join us for Book Reading and Coloring Contest hosted by the Christian County Literacy Council.

At this family fun event we will share excerpts from our Community Reader Day book selections, engage in child-friendly book discussions, and sponsor a coloring contest!

Literacy Council Spelling Bee

The Christian County Literacy Council is hosting its second Spelling Bee on Tuesday, September 27 at the Alhambra Theatre! Students in grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 will compete for prizes! The event is open to the public and FREE to attend! All students in Christian County public, private, and homeschools are invited to register. Registration information will become available on the Christian County Literacy Council Facebook Page soon.

Virtual Breakfast with Santa

The Christian County Literacy Council is hosting a virtual Breakfast with Santa, including Christmas songs, book readings, and a holiday craft – for FREE on our Facebook page! Breakfast kits will be available for 250 Hopkinsville-Christian County children. Adults are encouraged to RSVP on the event page to reserve their kids’ breakfast kits. Breakfast kits will be available for pick up on Thursday, December 17 from 2-4 PM at the First Presbyterian Church parking lot, 303 E. 9th Street.
