It’s time to once again bump, set and spike at the Sportsplex! Led by coaches and alums from UHA Volleyball, the two-day Pennyrile Volleyball Camp will offer safe and socially-distant instruction, skills and training for 8th-12th graders around the Pennyrile Region.
PVC is set for 5:30-7:30pm on Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31 at Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville. The camp is just $60, which includes a designated volleyball that will be issued to each participant to be used during camp. The 2nd Annual VAPR Frosty Classic is returning to the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, and features FIVE different age divisions! Come enjoy some of the best club volleyball in western Kentucky, as local teams (VAPR and Heights) join EAA (Paducah), Sky Aces (Bowling Green), OVC (Owensboro) and New South (Clarksville, TN) for a full day of action, beginning at 8am. Admission is just $5. The Game Day Cafe will be open for concessions.
The annual Western Kentucky Smackdown Volleyball Tournament is moving to the Sportsplex! One of the most anticipated events of the year in Western Kentucky, this postseason tuneup features intriguing matchups between some of the top KHSAA teams on this end of the state. In past years, WKY Smackdown is played in four different gyms. This year, it’s all under one roof! Admission is just $7/day or $10 for a weekend pass during the two-day tournament.
Participating teams: Apollo, Christian County, Crittenden County, Fort Campbell, Hopkinsville, Livingston Central, Logan County, Todd County Central, University Heights Academy
The inaugural wRECk @ the Plex — a 12-team high school volleyball tournament, hosted by Christian County Volleyball, and featuring some of western Kentucky’s top programs — will be held September 6-7 at Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville. The teams slated to participate are Christian County, Bowling Green, Caldwell County, Crittenden County, Graves County, Henderson County, Logan County, Madisonville-North Hopkins, Marshall County, Paducah Tilghman, Todd County Central and Trigg County.
